Women Veterans of Southwest Missouri American Legion Post 1214 are hosting an Open House on Saturday September 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.! This is an opportunity for the group to share the mission of the American Legion whose four pillars of service prioritize helping fellow Veterans, supporting programs for Children and Youth, sharing programs dedicated to Americanism and safeguarding National Security. Legionnaires will be on hand to discuss the important scholarship opportunities for High School Juniors to attend Boys State, Girls State and the annual high school student Oratorical Speech contest with a scholarship prize.
