Downtown Springfield is ready to help you celebrate Dad

June 18, 2020

Did Father’s Day sneak up on you this year? Don’t worry. We won’t tell him.

There’s still plenty of time to make sure he feels spoiled on his big day. There are also plenty of businesses open in Downtown Springfield and ready to help. Here are some suggestions for you.

Brunching, Eating, Drinking

Cooking isn’t everyone’s strong suit. Thankfully there are plenty of great restaurants Downtown. Lost Signal Brewing Company is having a special brunch featuring BBQ, craft beer and live music! They’ll be open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. serving up their brunch menu with one special addition: a pulled pork omelet! Tony Menown and his father, Jerry, will be providing music on Lost Signal’s patio stage from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Reservations are highly encouraged. Book yours by calling 417-869-4755 or emailing info@lostsignalbrewing.com.

Springfield Brewing Company is also doing something special for Dads. The SBC crew will be serving up its legendary brunch from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Their full brewpub menu is on deck 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. And, bonus, every dad gets a free beer on Father’s Day when you dine in at Springfield Brewing Company.

Even if you’re staying in you can treat dad to some BrewCo awesomeness. They’re currently selling the ultimate SBC Bundle. It includes a brewer’s choice case of 24 beers, a tin sign, drinkware, a koozie and two stickers. This $85 value is on sale for $60! As a bonus, one lucky Dad will get a golden ticket good for a beer pairing dinner for four! Place your order today

Mother’s Brewing Company also cares about Dads. They’ve teamed up with Lavish Grazing for a Father’s Day Box & Beer. It comes with a $10 gift certificate to Mother’s; a box of savory meats, cheese and chocolates; and six beers, including Li’l Helper, Cobra Scare and Imperial Grind.

Throwing Things

There are fewer throwing options Downtown right now without the Springfield Cardinals playing ball. But you can still go throw some things with Dad at Craft Axe Throwing. In fact, every Dad throws for free on Father’s Day! Craft Axe Throwing is currently operating at a limited capacity, so hurry up and book your lane today at their website.

Shopping and Reading

Some Dads enjoy getting gifts like socks and belts. No judgement. If you’re going the traditional route, why not hit up 5 Pound Apparel for their selection of stylish and hip socks, belts, hats, clothes, shoes and more? You’re sure to find something he’ll love. They’re open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. if you want to treat him to a small shopping spree. The Merry Moore also has gifts for Dad. Check out their Local Love thermos and Dad Cards.

Hudson / Hawk Barber & Shop is running a Father’s Day special online. Everything is 25% off. Grab a Hudson / Hawk gift card and get a bonus $5 for every $25 purchased! Hudson / Hawk is also doing a special giveaway. Prizes include free haircuts for a year, Emerson Park cologne, goodies from Kingdom Coffee and more! The total value of the prize package: $500. Check out Hudson / Hawk on Facebook for more details.

Is Dad a bookworm? Our neighbors at Pagination Bookshop would love to put together a gift for him from their in-store inventory. You can even get same-day pickup. Just let Pagination know what he likes to read and they’ll personalize a selection for him!
